Stretch marks result from excessive stretching of the skin which causes damage of the network of collagen and elastin fibres. They appear mainly around the abdomen, chest, legs and arms. Stretch marks are linear, covered with delicate atrophic scars (thin) epidermis. Multiple factors may cause the stretch marks. These are: hormonal, a significant increase in body weight in a short time, pregnancy, genetic factors and the functioning of connective tissue disorder.

As a scar is a natural result of a wound healing, during which the damaged skin tissue is replaced with a new randomly distributed collagen fibres.

Treatments we offer:

EMERGE™ Fractional Laser
skin resurfacing is a proven approach to skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime. Using laser micro-beams to create areas of treated tissue surrounded by untreated tissue, Emerge allows the body’s natural healing process to rebuild tissue with new collagen and elastin, which are the building blocks of youthful-looking skin.

What does it do?
EMERGE™ can knock out the deepest wrinkles, improve the most challenging scars and help to correct a wide variety of other skin imperfections. We have seen an improvement in the appearance of age spots, sun damage, skin tone and texture, wrinkles, surgical scars, acne scars and stretch marks.
You can have almost anywhere on the face or body treated, particularly areas with stretch marks, scarring, pigmentation and skin irregularities. Fine lines around the eyes, age spots/sunspots, and uneven skin tone all also react extremely well from an Emerge treatment. It has also been proven to assist with open pores and acne scarring.

How does it work?
EMERGE™ Fractional Laser drives thousands of individual columns of light (about the width of a hair) deep into the epidermis and down into the dermis layer of the skin, leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected, healthy and able to stimulate collagen – the basic building blocks or structural support of our skin.
The microscopic columns of treated skin are eliminated slowly over many weeks as they are replaced by healthy new tissue. The body’s natural healing process then rebuilds the treated tissue with healthy tissue containing new collagen and elastin, which are the building blocks of youthful-looking skin.

Stretch Marks
This treatment will stimulate and rebuild new collagen to restructure damaged stretched skin. Ideal for any body area with white/silver stretch marks on all skin colours.

Post Surgery Scars
Stimulate and rebuild new collagen to restructure post surgery scars, like hypertrophic and linear scars.

(EDS) Electronic Dermastamp/Collagen Induction
EDS Skin Rejuvenation system is very latest German technology advancement, medical grade from Aestheticare. EDS Electronic Dermastamp,micro-skin needling treatment, is a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally, resulting in smoother, brighter, younger and healthier looking skin.

Professional skin-needling is an established clinically proven procedure and has remarkable results in significantly improving the appearance of:

  • Acne scars
  • Pigmentation irregularities
  • Ageing skin
  • Facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles
  • Stretch marks
  • Open pores
  • Skin Rejuvenation
And because skin needling stimulates natural responses in the skin, the results you’ll see are completely natural too.

How Does EDS Rejuvenate Work?
The EDS Rejuvenate treatment is an electronic, micro-skin needling procedure that produces thousands of micro-needle columns in the skin, which in turn stimulates the skin to naturally generate and repair itself. EDS machine can penetrate the skin up to 150 times per second that causes controlled injury to the skin. As part of this stimulation new collagen can be formed, new cells generated and the structure of the dermis, the lower level of the skin, enhanced.

The Procedure
The EDS Rejuvenate procedure has a good comfort level, however, this will normally be made more so as your practitioner will numb your skin using a topical anesthetic beforehand. They will then use the eDermastamp to produce thousands of micro-medical needle columns in the skin, and a serum will also be used to help the handpiece glide on the skin. The treatment will take around 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. Immediately after your EDS Rejuvenate treatment you will look as though you have moderate sunburn, and your skin may feel warmer and tighter than usual. To assist your skin in its recovery you practitioner may apply a post-procedure product.

How Many Treatments would I need?
Your practitioner will suggest a course of EDS Rejuvenate treatments depending on the condition being treated, but expect at least three treatments with approximately 6 weeks apart.

Is There Any Pre- Or Post-Treatment Advice?
You should avoid any potentially irritating skincare products at least 3 days prior to your treatment. You should then avoid intensive UV exposure and artificial exposure for at least 2 weeks after your procedure. It is important that you use a high level broad spectrum UVB|UVA sun protectant on a daily basis during this period, even in winter and on cloudy days. Once the redness has cleared following an EDS® Skin Rejuvenation procedure, it is important that the skin is cared for on an ongoing daily basis with an effective anti-ageing regime. Your practitioner will recommend a regime most suitable for you, which will also help maintain the results.

What Results Can You Expect?
After your procedure, you can expect a significant improvement in your skin’s texture and tone. Your skin will me be smoother, brighter and rejuvenated and over next weeks the appearance of acne and stretch marks will improve significantly. The results may take a little time to show, this could be up to 3 months. Rest assured that the results you see over time will look natural and be long lasting.
