Application of Cosmelan inhibits the melanogenesis process paralysing melanin production for a long period of time during which corneum stratum flaking plus the action of the macrophagic cells taking the melanin deposits with them. More than a treatment, Cosmelan is a complete method that involves a single session, which can be performed at beauty clinics and a home maintenance treatment. The treat-ment entails the professional applying the Cosmelan 1 Face Mask which is then left to work for 8 to 12 hours, according to the phototype and sensitivity of the skin to be treated. You should avoid any potentially irritating skincare products at least 3 days prior to your treatment. You should then avoid intensive UV exposure and artificial exposure for at least 2 weeks after your procedure. Reversible inhibition of tyrosinase activity
